A Full Elephant's Friend Day offers visitors the opportunity to get to know each of the remarkable elephants and gain a special understanding of their daily lives and behaviors.

Activities: Feed, Visit Elephant Poo Poo Paper making, walking with Elephant , Enjoy bathing with elephant , Playing with our Baby Elephants.

ITINERARY

08.30 – 09.00 am. Pick up from your hotel or accommodation in Chiangmai City. We will drive through agricultural Thai countryside North of Chiang Mai for 30 Mins to Elephant Poo Poo Paper: Visit and learn more about Eco friendly recycled paper making made with Elephant Poop.
10.30 - 11.00 am. Arrive at the Park, Make registration. Get change to our Mahout outfit. Meet our elephants.
11.30 am. Elephant’s Friend Day includes… Feed, Learn about Background and learn about behavior of Elephant. Walk about 30 mins to jungle. Meet our elephants where they are roaming in the field.
12.30 am. Lunch
12.30 am. - 14.00 pm.
** This time is special program focused on taking your time and allowing the elephants to enjoy each moment of their freedom, scratching, rubbing, and throwing dirt ... so be patient, enjoy the view and take lots of pictures**
14.15 pm. Walk with the elephants to a clean water pond where they will cool off themselves and you will have chance to observe and join them bathing as well.
Visit and play with our Baby Elephants in a Nursery Zone
Tea and coffee break.
We leave the park and should be back in Chiang Mai by 16.00 pm.

At the Park, we will allow you to spend as much time as possible with the elephants. Therefore, there is no formal schedule and aside from pick-up times, the times shown here are approximations.

A Change for the Better :

No Elephant Riding Activity at Baanchang Elephant Park

As there is concern about the welware, quality of life and well-being of elephants around the world, especially in Thailand; We “ Baanchang Elephant Park” agree to no longer offer elephant riding activity. This big move is aimed at providing our elephants with better living conditions, more independence and most importantly, better mental health.

The removal of the elephant riding activity will also benefit tourists themselves as risks and dangers during elephant ride will be reduced.

However, we will still continue our unique highlight activities at our elephant park, including allowing tourists to learn about elephant’s way of life and the relations between the elephants and their caretakers also known as mahouts, from the past to the present. Visitors will still have opportunities to interact with the elephants, gain knowledge and understanding about elephants through every program at our park.

We ensure that visitors will be happy and impressed with what we have to offer.
